I generated some heat in the house

As you learn more and more about your oil furnace, you may find that particular maintenance and cleaning jobs are particularly pretty self-explanatory to take care of on your own.

Sometimes, with a little know-how, you can legitimately avoid needing to schedule Heating, Ventilation, and A/C repair calls for particular oil furnace needs. This is not to say that if you are uncomfortable with taking care of particular parts of your oil furnace that you should avoid seeking professional help and try and do it all by yourself. The point is, that you might find it’s easier to take care of particular maintenance and cleaning steps when it comes to your oil furnace than you initially thought. One of these self-explanatory jobs is oiling the oil furnace blower. The oil furnace blower takes the heat generated by your oil furnace and disperses it throughout the house, as you would expect… Keeping your oil furnace blower well-lubricated can and will result in a longer life for your oil furnace. This should be done at least once a year, and first, shut down the oil furnace entirely, including turning off the circuit breaker. Then, remove the access panel to the oil furnace using a screwdriver. The blower motor assembly can respectfully be found at the base of the oil furnace; Removing the blower motor from the oil furnace will often require loosening the bolts securing it with a wrench. Two oil ports should be situated on the motor and the shaft. All it will take is two or many drops of oil applied to these ports to lubricate the blower motor. Once everything is connected back into arena and the oil furnace is turned on once more, the blower motor will particularly benefit from the lube!
