I work for a local heating and air conditioning supplier and for the past few months I have been on a new shift and had to go on home calls.
I’ve never officially gone on home calls before, I worked in the sales office and made phone calls all day.
However, we have been really short staffed and I suppose that I am going to have to start stepping up to the plate. So when our boss approached me about starting to go on HVAC home calls I was a little hesitant but I knew I needed to do it. I didn’t want to go into people’s homes and work on their HVAC systems because not all people keep their home nice and clean and it grosses me out. However, I suppose that I’m going to have to go into these houses and take care of other people’s heating and air conditioning systems because that is what my boss needs me to do, not to mention my boss is my older sister so I don’t want to let her down. We have been running the family HVAC supplier for a while now and all of us are both trying to find ways to make our business better. If I can go out to these HVAC appointments and help people out with their HVAC systems, I know it will help us out in the long run. Even though I don’t want to be doing it at all.
