I’ve been in college for the last two years, and I’ve only been home a few times.
- I went home for summer break last year, and I was home at Christmas.
My parents decided to take a three-week vacation, and they asked me to stay at the house with my brothers. They are 16 and 17 years old. They’re definitely old enough to stay home alone, but the last time I mom left them alone, they sold the brand new air condition. My mom grounded them for 3 months, and I thought she was going to lose her mind. They sold the air conditioner so they could buy parts for the dune buggy. My mom and dad we’re only gone for the weekend, and the air conditioner was gone in a matter of hours. My mom and dad didn’t want to take the boys with them on vacation this time, but they certainly didn’t want to leave them alone either. I offered to stay with my brothers, but it was a total surprise. My parents told them that I was only going to visit sporadically. Instead, I showed up on Friday night in the middle of a huge party. Dale and Ernie thought I would call the cops, but I told them that everyone needed to leave before the hour was up, or I would embarrass them worse than my parents would. We cleaned up the mess from the party and they behaved themselves the rest of the time. One of these days, my brothers are going to learn a lesson.
