My hubby and I have decided that we are going to look for a new location that is much more energy efficient than the location that we are living in now.
We have been renting here for a couple of years and neither one of us likes it.
When we moved in, it was close to my hubby’s job and that was absolutely the only superb thing about it. The location does not have a central air conditioner and so we are constantly turning the window unit a/cs off and on all the time and those things use up a lot of energy in the summer! I don’t think that this location has certainly superb insulation in it, either, because neither the heating nor the cooling seems to stay in the house for certainly long! During the winter, the baseboard heating is the absolute worst. I hate it and I am constantly worried about a curtain or a piece of furniture catching on fire because of it, but not to mention the fact that baseboard heating is not energy efficient at all! You would not believe how much it costs to pay for the heating and cooling in this house, plus it’s not even good! The air quality in our house now absolutely leaves a lot to be desired and I can’t wait to transport out of here. We have enough money saved up now that we can certainly put a downpayment on a house of our own. We are looking for a location that is going to be energy efficient and I’m hoping that we can find one with both a central air conditioner and radiant heated flooring!
