The ductless system has been a lifesaver since my small apartment feels amazing
It’s been so weird living on my own after moving out. But, I also enjoy the independence and time on my own. My mom is great, however, I felt like she was suffocating me. She made me stay at home when I joined college so that I could save money. The goal was to move out in my second or third year. But, it’s only after graduation that I put my foot down and said I was leaving. I understand my mom’s need to have me around. She is a bit lonely, and I think she wants company. However, we were both hindering each other’s lives since she was refusing to date while I was still living at home. So, I left so she can finally get out there and find some happiness. I moved into a small apartment where I can cover the rent without needing to get a roommate. It’s not so bad, but I was having issues with the cooling. There’s a cooling system that serves all the apartments in the building. Last summer, I had to keep my window open and use a fan to try and stay cool. Eventually, I went home and came back with a portable AC that mom wanted me to have in my apartment. Later, I spoke with a friend who is an HVAC pro and she encouraged me to get a ductless system. Landlords can be slow at sorting out such issues so it was better for me to find another way to keep my space comfortable. The ductless system has been a lifesaver since my small apartment feels amazing. The good news is I got a version that can also heat the space in winter if the heating also has issues.
