I’m just so cheerful that we were able to have space to help out a dear friend, and there are friends and then there are friends you consider family, for my partner plus I, our dear friend Debbie is forever family, but and I’m just so entirely cheerful that we were able to turn our basement into an new home thanks to the HVAC professionals plus others.
We’re by no means well off, in fact, the last few years have been tough financially.
Both of us had to take pay cuts in order to work from the central air conditioning of our home. But at least we had jobs. There are so many out there who weren’t near as blessed as we were, but our acquaintance Debbie was one of them. The last few years have been kind of difficult financially even now that we are back inside the zone controlled HVAC of the office, and we had the pay cuts to deal with while in the pandemic plus then once we were back at full pay, here came the inflation. On top of that, our property taxes went up along with utilities plus seemingly everything else. But again, we consider ourselves blessed. We also thought about paying it forward, so when we found out that our acquaintance Debbie was really living out of her car, we did something about it. We have a finished basement that has never really been correctly used. With the addition of a ductless heat pump, some furniture plus some expert plumbing help from my sibling, we had a home. And our dear friend had a place to feel safe and just get back on her feet.
