I couldn’t understand what was taking the HVAC technician so long to work on the furnace.
My husband got home from work, and he wanted to know how late the HVAC technician was? I told him he had been in the basement for a couple of hours, and I had heard nothing from him.
My husband headed down the steps and I heard him call out. The HVAC technician was lying on the floor by the furnace, and he was sound asleep. My husband said he thought he had been injured, but he was simply napping. I was going to call the HVAC company and complain about the HVAC technician, but my husband said to let it go. He had already talked to the HVAC technician. When he came upstairs, he looked sheepish. He told me he had a new baby at home, and all he did was cry all night and sleep all day. His wife wasn’t feeling well, and he was taking care of the baby so she could rest. They lived three houses down from us, so I offered to help his wife. I had been a postpartum nurse for years, and I was wondering if she was suffering with postpartum depression. I headed to the HVAC technician’s house even before he left. I introduced myself, and told her that her husband was worried about her. She lowered her eyes and smiled. She said that as long as he would do all the work at night she was going to get some rest. She didn’t think it was going to last much longer.
