Our pals and I were planning a surprise baby shower for my sister and one of them had offered a hall in their hotel for an event.
- The day before the baby shower, I went to check the hall and it was chilly inside.
I had to speak to the person who was in charge of the repair of the hotel and asked him to work out what was wrong with the central heater. He could not see the issue so I asked him when was the last time they had a heating professional conduct a gas furnace/heater tune-up on the gas furnace. After checking his paperwork from the whole-home heating corporation, he saw that it was over multiple years ago when the previous supervisor was in office. That wasn’t good news at all so I asked him to call the local repair provider. A few minutes to noon a heating contractor arrived and set to work. When he was done inspecting the heating system he informed us that a gas furnace repair would be needed. When he was done he provided the hotel supervisor with some useful energy-saving tips. He also suggested the hotel supervisor look into zone control systems that would optimize and save energy. That way the hall was not in use it would be possible to turn off the radiant floor heating through a digital control unit. I was so amazed by his professionalism and willingness to give us a hand to avoid such problems in the future that I asked him for his company card so that I’d contact him to check out my temperature control plan which had started to supply me with wrong readings.
