Temperature at work not keeping up with seasons

One of the worst things about the changing seasons is that my office building simply never keeps up with the changing temperatures.

I work in a large office building that hosts several business offices. While we have thermostats on each floor, they don’t seem to make a huge difference when it comes to the temperature of the building. Most of the time, I really wouldn’t complain about indoor temperature at work. The air conditioning keeps the office cool in the summer. In the winter, I am also comfortable and warm. It’s the spring and fall that are an issue for me. The owners of the building control when the heat comes on and off for the season, as well as the air conditioning. Recently, as we enter spring, some days feel warm and sunny like summer, while we have had a few late snow showers and chilly days. Because we are still getting some snow, the company still has the heat running. That means that on the days where we get a spike of warmth and sunshine, the building is still treating indoor temperature as if it’s snowing outside! When I walked into work the other day, it was so unbelievably hot. I was wearing light clothing and was still hot. Even when I adjusted the thermostat and reduced the temperature, I saw no difference in the indoor air temperature. It was so hard to be productive and get through the work day.
