Will the HVAC technician drive in a blizzard?

My HVAC appointment was set for the next day, but I was wondering if the HVAC technician was going to make it. I had been listening to the weather and they were calling for blizzard-like conditions over the next 36 hours. I was wondering if the HVAC technician would drive in a blizzard? I called the HVAC company and the person who answered the phone told me that if anything came up, they would let me know. I wasn’t going to be at work. I was a school teacher, and I had already been told there would be no school the following day. I told the HVAC technician that my furnace wasn’t working well and I was afraid it would break down during the storm. He said they could have someone come to the house that evening. We could have the furnace repaired before the storm began, and they wouldn’t charge us for overtime hours. They were offering this service to several of their customers who may not get service the following day. I was so happy that I almost cried. I had gone without a furnace because of a storm, several years earlier. I couldn’t get out of the house, and it was so cold that I thought I was going to freeze to death. I didn’t want this to happen again. I thanked him for the offer, and accepted. It was 7 PM when the HVAC technician arrived. It took him almost two hours to make the repair, and he said it was a good thing they had showed up tonight. He was afraid it would have been too much of a load on the furnace if it had to give us enough heat to survive the blizzard.
