Are air conditioners bad for newborn babies?

Whenever I see a happy couple with a beautiful newborn baby, I always feel very bad for them.

It seems that people are constantly afraid that newborn babies are somehow going to freeze to death, and these parents do everything that they can to ensure that their baby has heat.

Even with the furnace in your house set to 75 degrees to keep your family warm, I have met people that will make their child bundle up in multiple layers to make sure that their child isn’t cold! With the furnace set that high and with the kid saying so many articles of clothing, it is a miracle that the baby hasn’t suffered heatstroke. These same people will be the first ones to tell you that using an air conditioner when you have a newborn baby is practically a cardinal sin. Air conditioners make a room colder, and there is no such thing as colder air being good for a kid. I am here to tell you that using your air conditioner in moderation can make your newborn baby a lot more comfortable. When a baby gets warm and starts sweating, it can cause your baby to develop rashes and irritated skin. An air conditioner can help keep your baby cool enough to be comfortable on a hot day. Now, I am not telling you that you should use your air conditioner to make your house feel like an icebox. Instead, you should set your air conditioner to a moderate temperature. Trust me, your baby will be fine with the air conditioner running.
